The Lowrance Eagle SplitShot transducer is a versatile transducer designed to optimize the fishing and navigation experience with the Lowrance Eagle series displays. Integrating SplitShot technology, this transducer combines the capabilities of traditional wide-angle CHIRP sonar with DownScan Imaging. It allows users to simultaneously view clear fish arches and detailed underwater structures.
Technical Performance and Advanced Imaging
The SplitShot transducer operates at frequencies of 455 kHz and 800 kHz, offering superior clarity and target separation for precise fish detection and identification of submerged structures. Unlike Bullet Skimmer transducers, which are limited to traditional CHIRP sonar (compatible with the Eagle 4x), the SplitShot enhances underwater analysis with the DownScan view. Although it does not include the SideScan function found on TripleShot transducers, the SplitShot represents an excellent compromise between performance and cost for anglers seeking structural details without requiring side-view imaging.
Integration and Robustness
This transducer is specifically compatible with the Lowrance Eagle 5, Eagle 7, and Eagle 9 fishfinder/chartplotter combos, ensuring seamless integration and optimal performance. The Eagle systems, with which the transducer interfaces, operate on a 12 V DC power supply (10.8 - 18 V DC) and are protected by a recommended 3 A fuse. Designed for the marine environment, the transducer, like the Eagle series displays, is compliant with the IPX7 waterproof rating, ensuring resistance to temporary immersion. Its operating temperature range is from -15°C to 55°C, ensuring its reliability in various climatic conditions.
