The Lowrance HDS-12 PRO is a fishfinder/chartplotter combo designed for demanding anglers seeking maximum performance and flexibility. Featuring a 12-inch high-definition multitouch display with a resolution of 1280 x 800 pixels and a brightness exceeding 1200 nits, it ensures perfect readability even in direct sunlight. Its wide 85° viewing angles in all directions allow for easy viewing from any point on the boat.
Advanced Sonar Performance
The HDS-12 PRO stands out with its two independent 1 kW sonar ports (9-pin connectors), allowing simultaneous connection and display of two different sonar sources. It supports a wide range of technologies for unparalleled underwater detection:
- CHIRP Sonar: Low, medium, and high frequency up to 1 kW.
- DownScan Imaging: 455 kHz and 800 kHz frequencies, as well as 700 kHz and 1200 kHz CHIRP for detailed views of the seabed and structures.
- SideScan Imaging: 455 kHz and 800 kHz frequencies, with 455 kHz and 1075 kHz CHIRP for wide scanning of fishing areas.
The unit is also ready for real-time sonar technologies like ActiveTarget, offering a clear view of fish movements.
Connectivity and System Integration
Designed as the nerve center of your electronic installation, the HDS-12 PRO offers complete connectivity. It is equipped with two Ethernet ports for data sharing with other displays, radars, or external modules. Integration into the onboard network is provided by an NMEA 2000® (Micro-C) port and an NMEA 0183® port. The 12 and 16-inch models in the PRO range, unlike the 9 and 10-inch versions, have an HDMI® video input for connecting external sources and a USB-A port. Wireless connectivity is provided by internal Wi-Fi® and Bluetooth® 5.2, enabling software updates and synchronization with the Lowrance app. Two microSD® card readers allow the use of navigation charts and data recording.
Robust Design and Technical Specifications
The HDS-12 PRO housing is waterproof to IPX6 and IPX7 standards and designed to withstand shock and vibration (100,000 cycles of 20 G). It operates on a 12 V DC power supply, with a maximum consumption of 48 W (3.6 A at 13.8 V DC). Its weight is 2.61 kg (display only), and it is designed to operate within a temperature range of -15°C to 55°C.
