The 18 m carbon fast craft Mauric × Multiplast

The Fast Craft 60' Jaric is an 18 m day-cruiser powered by engines, delivered in 2025 to owner Jacky Setton. Composite hull with fiberglass / carbon fiber mix, design by MAURIC (co-design with Setton), built by Multiplast in Vannes under Yann Penfornis’ supervision, interior layout by Golfe Agencement.

Architecture and design

Mauric designed a hull hybrid between fast intervention craft and interceptor hulls, adapted for a pleasure platform. The delivery of Jaric marks the resumption of collaboration between Mauric and Setton, nearly 45 years after the aluminum sloop Pioneer (24.9 m, derived from Kriter VIII) that André Mauric delivered to Setton in the 1980s.

Technical specifications

  • Length: 18 m
  • Construction: fiberglass / carbon fiber composite, built by Multiplast (Vannes)
  • Power: triple Mercury Verado 600 hp (1,800 hp total), outboard
  • Max speed: 43 knots confirmed during sea trials in Vannes
  • Stabilization: gyroscopic stabilizer to reduce roll while anchored and underway

Delivery and lineage

Launch and sea trials in Vannes in 2025. Jaric continues the series of single-unit carbon boats ordered by Setton from Multiplast (sail side: Ciao Gianni, Paja, Jaro), but it is the first powerboat project in this lineage.
