The AC ANTENNAS KUM480 is an HF whip antenna made of fiberglass, designed for marine HF/SSB communication systems with automatic tuning. With a length of 4.8 meters and a maximum input power of 500 Watts PEP, it covers a frequency range from 1.4 to 30 MHz for transmission and reception (Tx/Rx).

Robust Design and Durable Materials

Manufactured using high-quality materials, the KUM480 antenna features copper radiating elements and a fiberglass construction. This composition prevents galvanic corrosion, ensuring durability in marine environments. The crimping technology used for assembly provides superior robustness, making the antenna 4 to 5 times stronger than traditional construction methods. It supports an operating temperature range from -55°C to +60°C and has an IP66 rating for protection against water and dust intrusion.

Technical Specifications and Installation

This two-section omnidirectional antenna offers vertical polarization and is equipped with a Sidefed Bolt connector, suitable for Tx/Rx systems. Its weight ranges from 1.70 kg to 1.90 kg. The antenna is designed to be mounted on a mast, with the N095F-SET mounting kit (for mast Ø 30-100mm) to be ordered separately. The AC-KUM480 model is supplied without a mounting bracket or cable, requiring the purchase of these items for a complete installation.
