Detailed description
Detailed description
Designed for deep-water detection, the AIRMAR B265LH through-hull transducer is a 1 kW BroadBand CHIRP solution integrating depth and temperature functions. It operates on two distinct frequency bands: a low-frequency CHIRP band from 42 to 65 kHz and a high-frequency CHIRP band from 130 to 210 kHz, offering a total bandwidth of 103 kHz.
Performance and Precision
The AIRMAR B265LH enables maximum depth detection of 914 meters in low frequency and 305 meters in high frequency. Its beam widths range from 25 to 16° in low frequency and from 10 to 6° in high frequency, contributing to target separation and precise bottom resolution. This transducer is optimized for baitfish and gamefish detection, covering common frequencies such as 50 kHz and 200 kHz, and allowing specific targeting of species like bluefin tuna (60 kHz) or cod (175 kHz).
Design and Integration
Featuring a bronze housing and urethane acoustic window, the B265LH is designed for fiberglass or wooden hulls and can adapt to keel angles up to 20° thanks to the included fairing block. Its transducer element consists of a seven-element low-frequency array and a single high-frequency ceramic. It integrates Airmar’s Xducer ID® technology, which enables automatic sounder configuration to the transducer’s parameters. The transducer comes with a 12-meter cable and has a 12-pin connector, making it compatible with next-generation CHIRP and FM sounders, including Furuno models TZT10x/13x/16x, TZT12f/16f/19f, FCV800, and DFF1UHD+. Note that this transducer does not support REZBOOST™ and ACCU-FISH™ functions.
