Detailed description
Detailed description
Designed for deep-sea fishing, the Garmin Airmar® TM265LH stern-mount transducer is a CHIRP broadband model. It features CHIRP broadband technology, delivering significantly better resolution and target separation than traditional transducers thanks to CHIRP broadband. This capability allows precise distinction between baitfish, gamefish, and underwater structures, even at significant depths.
Technical Performance and Detection Capability
With a power output of 1 kW, this transducer operates on two distinct frequency ranges. The low frequency covers 42 to 65 kHz with a variable beam width of 25° to 16° (port-starboard), reaching a maximum depth of 914 meters. The high frequency operates from 130 to 210 kHz with a beam width of 10° to 6°, enabling detection down to 304 meters. The total bandwidth of 103 kHz is covered by a single transducer, ensuring versatility for various fish species and fishing conditions.
Design and Installation
The Garmin Airmar® TM265LH features a seamless SEALCAST™ urethane housing designed for marine durability. The stainless steel mounting bracket is adjustable for stern angles from 3° to 21°. This transducer incorporates eight internal broadband ceramic arrays and is compatible with all hull materials (fiberglass, wood, metal). It provides fast-response depth and water temperature data. It weighs 4 kg and is recommended for boats up to 10 meters in length. The transducer comes with a 9-meter cable and a 1-meter adapter for Mix and Match™ versions, or a 12-meter cable for bare-wire versions, with OEM or Mix and Match™ connectors. It also features Xducer ID® technology.
