TM904 — Side Scan CHIRP transom-mount transducer for NavNet TZtouch3 and NavNet TZtouchXL, 220-240 kHz

Designed for precise side scanning, the AIRMAR TM904 (part number 225T-TM904) transom-mount Side Scan CHIRP transducer operates at 220–240 kHz with 150 W per side, totaling 300 W. It delivers effective side-scan range up to 200 m and maximum depth of 200 m.

Compatibility and System Integration

The TM904 is optimized for seamless integration with Furuno NavNet TZtouch3 multifunction displays (models TZT12F, TZT16F, TZT19F) and NavNet TZtouchXL (models TZT10X, TZT13X, TZT16X). Its 12-pin Furuno connector and 12 m cable provide a direct, simplified connection. On compatible TZtouchXL models, Side Scan functionality is built-in, eliminating the need for an additional sounder module. A water-temperature sensor is also integrated.

Performance and Installation

This Side Scan CHIRP transducer delivers detailed, symmetrical side-scan imagery, enabling identification of underwater structures and seabed analysis on both sides of the vessel. The plastic housing is designed for transom mounting, adjustable for transom angles from 0° to 30° and allowing vertical beam orientation on hulls with deadrise up to 28°. The AIRMAR TM904 is rated for optimal operating speeds between 1.5 and 8.5 knots, with a maximum recommended boat speed of 30 knots.
