Detailed description
Detailed description
Designed for demanding marine electrical systems, the ANCOR 100' 3/0 RED TINNED COPPER cable is a single-core 3/0 AWG (85 mm²) conductor with a length of 30.5 metres. This cable is made with tinned copper strands for enhanced protection against corrosion and electrolysis, common phenomena in marine environments. Its premium vinyl insulation ensures durability in various conditions.
Construction and technical performance
The Ancor cable design incorporates type 3 tinned copper strands, providing ultra-flexibility. This characteristic allows the cable to withstand fatigue caused by vibrations and repeated flexing, optimizing its longevity in mobile and marine applications. The premium vinyl insulation maintains flexibility down to -40°C and resists damage from saltwater, battery acid, oil, gasoline, heat, abrasion, and UV rays. The cable is rated for 600V AC/DC nominal voltage and operates at temperatures up to 105°C dry and 75°C wet. Its nominal outer diameter is 17.5 mm and it has a resistance of 0.06 Ohms per 305 metres (1000 feet).
Compliance and applications
The ANCOR 100' 3/0 RED TINNED COPPER cable meets or exceeds marine safety standards, including UL 1426, US Coast Guard Charter boat (CFR Title 46), and ABYC. These certifications guarantee its reliability for critical installations. It is suitable for marine power systems for connecting batteries to engines, chargers, and distribution panels. It is particularly recommended for high-demand applications, dual-battery systems, and high-power alternator installations.
