The B&G T3 drive spare parts kit (reference RAM-SPRS-T3) is designed for maintaining B&G linear hydraulic drive units. These actuators are intended for large sailboats, supporting boats up to 36,000 kg. The kit helps maintain the reliability of a key component in the B&G autopilot system.
B&G T3 drive: Technical specifications
The T3 drive, for which this kit is a spare part, delivers 1,100 kg (10,980 N intermittent) thrust with a 300 mm stroke. It is designed for direct integration with autopilot computers such as the AC42, NAC-3, or H5000. The T3 unit operates on 12V DC or 24V DC and integrates a hydraulic pump, motor, clutch, and reservoir into a compact assembly, eliminating the need for external hoses or tanks.
Design and durability
The T3 drive’s design includes materials such as BS 1490 aluminum for the housing, chrome-plated stainless steel for the cylinder rod, and nitrile seals. It has an IP67 rating, making it resistant to temporary immersion. Integrated relief valves protect the cylinder and its mounting. The spare parts kit helps extend the life of these critical components, ensuring actuator performance in demanding marine environments, with an operating temperature range of -15°C to +55°C.
