The B&G Zeus³S Glass Helm MFD 16" Display Only is a high-performance 16-inch multifunction display designed for offshore sailing, multihulls, and superyachts. This screen serves as the central hub for a fully integrated navigation system, offering advanced capabilities and sailing-specific features.
Display and performance
Featuring a 16-inch Full HD SolarMAX™ HD IPS display with ultra-brightness and wide viewing angles, the unit delivers 1920x1080 resolution. Its 1200-nit brightness ensures optimal visibility in all conditions, including direct sunlight and with polarized sunglasses. The iMX 8 six-core processor provides fast response times and smooth multitasking. The unit includes 16 GB of internal storage and a MicroSD card slot (up to 32 GB per card, or larger if formatted as NTFS) for detailed charts.
Connectivity and system integration
The Zeus³S Glass Helm MFD 16" offers extensive connectivity with 3 Ethernet RJ45 ports (1 Mbit), one NMEA 2000® Micro-C port, two NMEA 0183 ports (IEC61162-1), and two NMEA 0183-HS ports (IEC61162-2). It includes built-in Wi-Fi (802.11b/g/n) for chart access, software updates, and screen mirroring. An HDMI In port (1080p, HDCP 1.4, HDMI-A) and two composite video inputs (BNC) are also provided. It does not include an internal GNSS receiver. The unit is rated IPX6 on the front when properly mounted, with an operating temperature range of -15°C to +55°C.
Sailing-specific features
This chartplotter integrates sailing-specific functions such as SailSteer™, which graphically displays boat speed, wind, heading, tide data, wind shift sectors, and laylines. RacePanel provides race timing, distance, and positioning data to optimize regatta starts. Laylines are overlaid on charts for efficient route planning, and SailingTime calculates estimated time of arrival at waypoints based on heading and tidal effects. It supports integration with advanced WindPlot and PredictWind routing. The system provides full autopilot control and integrates with Broadband Radar™ radars, ForwardScan™ sonars, and StructureScan3D, as well as B&G digital switching systems and instrument networks. The display can be split into up to 6 information panels.
