Designed for coastal navigation and fishing, the FURUNO SPAIN, MEDITERRANEAN COAST (MICROSD/SD) Platinum+ chart offers detailed coverage of the Spanish Mediterranean coast. This mapping provides detailed coverage of the Mediterranean coast, extending from Lagos in Portugal to La Spezia in Italy, including the Gulf of Cádiz, Corsica, the Balearic Islands, Gibraltar, and the African coast from Annaba in Algeria to Tangier in Morocco. Compatible with FURUNO chartplotters, including GP-1871F/1971F v4 models, it is inserted via its microSD/SD format.

Detailed mapping and advanced features

The FURUNO Platinum+ chart integrates SonarChart™ HD bathymetry, displaying contour lines down to 0.5 meters (or 1 foot) for precise representation of seafloor structure. The Relief Shading function uses shades of blue to visualize depth changes, making it easier to detect channels and drop-offs. It also offers dynamic 3D views, aerial and panoramic photographs of ports, marinas, and landmarks, as well as satellite imagery with SonarChart™ Shading overlay.

Updates and customization

This chart provides access to daily updates via the Navionics Chart Installer software, ensuring up-to-date cartographic information. The Navionics+ Dock-to-Dock Route Guidance technology is integrated, calculating suggested routes based on desired depth and air clearance. Features like Community Edits allow sharing of local information, and Plotter Sync enables wireless transfer of routes and updates between the chart and the Navionics Boating app, although this feature was not officially supported for Furuno GP-1871F/1971F chartplotters with software version 4.0 and was expected with version 5. The Advanced Map Options provide display customization, including for shallow areas and contour density.
