OP08-22 flush-mount kit for NX900 & PP-900

Designed for clean integration, the FURUNO OP08-22 flush-mount kit allows surface-mounted installation of the NX-900 NAVTEX receiver and its PP-900 printer. This kit provides a mounting solution for marine environments requiring discreet and functional finishes for communication equipment.

Integrated and Aesthetic Installation

The FURUNO OP08-22 flush-mount kit simplifies side-by-side mounting of the NX-900 main unit and the optional PP-900 printer in a console or dashboard. This configuration ensures a uniform finish, reducing surface clutter and providing a clean visual integration. Installation requires cutting a mounting opening and drilling four pilot holes for self-tapping screws, in accordance with the product drawing dimensions for precise fit.

Compatibility with FURUNO NX-900 NAVTEX System

The NX-900 NAVTEX receiver, for which this kit is intended, complies with IMO resolutions and IEC test standards, including IACS UR E27. It features a 5.7-inch (640 x 480 dots) TFT color LCD screen with wide visibility. The NX-900 can receive simultaneously on 518 kHz, 490 kHz, and 4209.5 kHz frequencies, with a storage capacity of 200 messages. It includes alert functions for critical messages, such as Search and Rescue (SAR) information, ensuring immediate notification. The PP-900 printer, also compatible with this kit, completes the system by allowing printing of received NAVTEX messages.

Associated System Specifications

The NX-900/PP-900 system is powered by 12-24V DC. The NX-900 receiver has two IEC61162-1 Ed. 5 serial ports, one IEC61162-450 Ed. 2 Ethernet port, and one RS-232C port dedicated to the printer. The main unit, junction box, and printer are rated IP20, while the antenna unit is rated IP56, offering resistance to marine conditions. Operating temperatures range from -20 to +55°C for the main unit, -25 to +55°C for the antenna, and -15 to +55°C for the junction box and printer.
