GPA-022S FURUNO DGPS/GLONASS antenna for GP170

The FURUNO GPA-022S antenna is designed for DGPS and GLONASS reception, providing a positioning solution for the FURUNO GP-170 navigation system. It ensures improved position stability and accuracy for various marine vessels. Integrated with the GP-170 display, it supports GPS+GLONASS functionality (Multi GNSS).

Accuracy and Robustness

Weighing 0.47 kg, the GPA-022S antenna features IP56 environmental protection, making it suitable for marine environments. It operates within a temperature range of -25°C to +70°C. Its enhanced noise rejection capabilities contribute to anti-jamming performance and high tolerance to multipath interference, ensuring a clear and reliable signal.

Integration with GP-170 System

Paired with the FURUNO GP-170 system, this antenna delivers stable and accurate positioning suitable for ocean-going vessels, large yachts, ferries, and commercial ships. The system complies with IMO performance standards and IEC test standards, including MSC.112 (73) for GPS and MSC.113 for GLONASS, as well as IEC 61108-1. The GP-170 uses augmentation systems such as SBAS (Satellite-Based Augmentation System), DGNSS (Differential Global Navigation Satellite System), and SLAS (Sub-meter Level Augmentation Service) to enhance positioning accuracy.

GP-170 System Features

The GP-170 system provides a 10 Hz position refresh rate, updating the position every 0.1 seconds for stable vessel tracking. The 5.7-inch color LCD screen (640 x 480 pixels resolution) displays clear data through various display modes: Chartplotter, Heading, Highway, Data, and Integrity. A front-panel USB port facilitates route data export and import. A LAN interface is available for network integration (IEC 61162-450). The system includes 4 NMEA 0183 ports and 3 serial ports (2 Input/Output, 1 Output) compliant with IEC 61162-1. Route management is enhanced with memory capacity for 1,000 track points, 2,000 waypoints, and 100 routes (each up to 1,000 waypoints). The system operates on 12-24 VDC power and is compatible with Bridge Alert Management (BAM).
