Designed to optimize interaction with FURUNO multifunction displays (MFD), the FURUNO MCU-004 remote control provides full control of NavNet TZtouch, TZtouch2, and TZtouch3 systems. This unit simplifies navigation management from multiple positions aboard, ideal for multi-screen setups or modular helm stations.

Control and Ergonomics

The MCU-004 features a rotary knob and a joystick for intuitive navigation. The rotary knob, acting as a RotoKey for NavNet TZtouch, handles zoom in/out functions on TZtouch and TZtouch2 displays, while the joystick allows cursor movement and chart panning. Eight dedicated buttons provide quick access to functions such as Edge Swiping, Home, Stand By/Auto for autopilot, MOB (man overboard), and vessel centering. A programmable key is also available for customizing the user experience. An integrated buzzer on the front face provides audible alarm reception.

Integration and Compatibility

This remote control is powered via its USB 2.0 port and comes with a 3-meter cable, offering installation flexibility. It is compatible with NavNet TZtouch displays (TZT9, TZT14, TZTBB, TZT12F, TZT16F, TZT19F) from software version 5.01, NavNet TZtouch2 MFDs (TZTL12F, TZTL15F) from software version 3.01, and NavNet TZtouch3 displays and TZT2BB Black Box. The MCU-004 can control up to four TZtouch2 MFDs via a switch button for the active display. It also functions as a virtual controller for NavPilot 700 installations when properly interfaced with the TZtouch2 network.
