Detailed description
Detailed description
Designed for demanding marine environments, the FURUNO SFD-1010 10.4" touchscreen display is a modular display solution for integrating Furuno navigation and detection systems. It is specifically optimized for the DFF3D multibeam fishfinder, BBDS1, DFF1, DFF1-UHD, DFF3, DFF3-UHD fishfinders, and the DRS4DL+ radar. Its design allows adaptation to the needs of recreational boaters and professionals, offering flexible configurations for fishing, navigation, or workboats.
Connectivity and System Integration
The SFD-1010 integrates NMEA0183 connectivity (2 ports) and NMEA2000 (1 port), facilitating integration into existing marine electronic networks. A 100Base-TX (RJ45) Ethernet port ensures communication with Furuno sensors and other devices. It also features a type A USB2.0 port for maintenance and an HDMI output for secondary display at 1280x768 (HD) resolution. The unit supports input of various NMEA0183 sentences (GGA, GNS, HDG, HDT, MDA, MWV, RMA, RMB, RMC, THS, TLL, VHW, VTG, WPT, ZDA) and outputs the TLL sentence.
Advanced Features
This display offers a resolution of 1024x768 (XGA) on a 10.4" TFT color LCD panel with a minimum brightness of 800 cd/m² and a minimum viewing angle of 80°. It enables rapid creation of shaded relief bathymetric charts (Personal Bathymetric Generator - PBG) from DFF3D or other fishfinder data, displaying seabed images with depth contours and variable colors to identify underwater structures. In combination with the DFF3D, it provides specific functions such as displaying marine currents (requires Furuno CI series) and a virtual net marking function. The SFD-1010 can also function as a secondary monitor for the NavNet TZtouch series, displaying and controlling sensor data from the network.
Modularity and Ergonomics
The SFD-1010 is designed for flexible installation, allowing free orientation adjustment in portrait or landscape mode without tools. User interaction is provided by its multi-touch screen, complemented by integrated control buttons and the ability to use an external mouse. Multi-station configuration is possible, allowing two SFD displays to connect to a single sensor, or two displays to two sensors simultaneously via a hub box. Its design is robust and suited to marine conditions, with IP25 water resistance and an operating temperature range of -15°C to +55°C. It operates on 12-24 VDC power with a consumption of 3.0-1.5 A, and weighs 2.4 kg.
