Designed for demanding marine environments, the Fusion Apollo™ MS-RA800 marine stereo source offers an advanced audio system with robust performance and high-quality sound reproduction. This system features a 4.3-inch (109 mm) capacitive touchscreen with 800 x 480 resolution, optimized with optical bonding for improved readability in full sunlight, high image resolution, and enhanced color saturation.
Audio Performance and Power
The MS-RA800 is equipped with a Class D internal amplifier delivering 4 x 40 watts RMS at 4 ohms, with total harmonic distortion below 0.1%. It provides 50% more output power than its predecessor, the RA770. Support for lossless high-resolution audio up to 24 bits at 96 kHz is included, complemented by an integrated digital signal processor (DSP) for customizable audio profiles via the Fusion-Link™ app.
Connectivity and System Integration
This marine stereo system offers extensive connectivity including built-in Wi-Fi for Apple AirPlay® audio streaming, Bluetooth®, AM/FM radio, two RCA stereo AUX inputs, a rear USB-C port, an HDMI ARC port, an Ethernet port, and an NMEA 2000® port. It also integrates ANT® wireless technology and supports software updates via Wi-Fi or USB. The MS-RA800 enables multi-zone control with four audio zones and the PartyBus™ feature for synchronization or control of multiple Apollo units on the same network. It is compatible with Garmin multifunction displays (MFD) via NMEA 2000® or the Garmin BlueNet network, and can be controlled via compatible Garmin smartwatches. Its digital processor is 8 times faster than that of the RA770, ensuring rapid response times.
Marine Design and Installation
Adhering to the True-Marine™ design philosophy, the MS-RA800’s front panel is rated IPX6 and IPX7, providing protection against salt fog, temperature variations, vibrations, and UV exposure. The rear chassis is rated IPX3. Its dimensions are 82 mm (height) x 192 mm (width) x 119.4 mm (depth) with a weight of 620 g. The unit is powered by a 10.8 – 32 VDC input and has a maximum current consumption of 25 A at 14.4 V. Its form factor and size are identical to those of the RA770, facilitating easy replacement or upgrade. The product is covered by a 3-year warranty.
