Detailed description
Detailed description
Designed to extend audio zones on a boat, the Fusion Apollo™ AP-DA214 marine zone amplifier is a 2-channel solution that delivers effective power in a compact, marine-environment-resistant format.
Audio Performance and Design
This Class-D amplifier delivers 20 watts RMS per channel at 4 ohms and 30 watts RMS per channel at 2 ohms, with a peak power of 140 watts. It is optimized for low distortion, ensuring clear sound reproduction. Its Class-D design ensures reduced current consumption, with 0.04 A at idle and a maximum of 10 A, extending listening autonomy. Frequency response and separation/crosstalk are not specified in the reference documents.
Marine Robustness and Compatibility
The True-Marine™ design guarantees resistance to marine environments, having been tested against salt fog, temperature variations, vibrations, and UV exposure. The printed circuit boards feature conformal coating for enhanced protection against marine elements. The amplifier includes ignition protection with a 16 A smart electronic fuse that prevents damage from overcurrent, undervoltage (operating range: 10.8 to 32 V DC), overheating, and output short circuits. Its IPX7 rating ensures protection against temporary immersion. It operates within a temperature range of 0 to 50°C.
Installation and Built-in Features
Installation is simplified with an included mounting bracket and compact dimensions (100 x 115 x 48 mm for a weight of 460 g). The Easy Tune feature, controllable via the Fusion-Link™ app, automatically adjusts audio parameters for optimal sound quality without manual tuning. This amplifier is exclusively compatible with Fusion marine audio systems featuring DSP technology (such as the Apollo RA770, RA670, WB670, and MS-RA210) and Fusion marine speakers. It must not be used with third-party audio systems. Integrated LED indicators enable quick diagnosis of electrical issues or overheating. A specified safety distance is recommended from a magnetic compass (exact value not provided in the supplied documents).
