These speakers are rated IP65 to IEC 60529. This means they are fully protected against dust and water jets from any direction (including from the front of the speaker).

These speakers consist of an aluminum dome tweeter, a polypropylene cone, and a rubber surround.

To clean your speakers, use a damp cloth soaked in fresh water to remove salt and residue. If salt buildup or stains are significant, a mild detergent can be used. Never use harsh or solvent-based cleaners, and avoid high-pressure water sprays, as this could damage the product and void the warranty.

These speakers are designed to operate within a temperature range of 0°C to 50°C (32°F to 122°F).

For installing these flush-mount speakers, the required cut-out diameter is 138 mm (5 7/16 inches) for a round shape or 138 x 138 mm (5 7/16 inches) for a square shape.

The minimum mounting depth (clearance) required for these speakers is 70 mm (2 3/4 inches).

The minimum mounting panel thickness must be 3 mm (1/8 inch) and the maximum thickness 25 mm (1 inch).

For installation, you will need a Phillips screwdriver, a torque screwdriver with a Phillips head, a utility saw or knife, 16 AWG tinned marine-grade speaker wire, marine sealant (such as 3M™ 4200 or 5200), and 4.8 mm and 6.3 mm female spade connectors.

It is recommended to use the template provided in the product box. If you print a template, ensure the print is at 100% of the scale (select the 'Actual size' option) and that the paper is larger than the template. Check the printed dimensions with a ruler to confirm the scale.

Select a mounting location with sufficient clearance for the specified mounting depth. Ensure the panel thickness meets specifications (3 mm min. / 25 mm max.). Prefer a flat mounting surface for better waterproofing. Protect wires from sharp objects and use rubber grommets when routing cables through panels. Mount speakers on a vertical surface if they are exposed to weather or water. If mounted outside the boat, place them well above the waterline to avoid immersion or damage. Keep speakers at least 195 cm away from a magnetic compass on the sides, 235 cm from the front, and 245 cm from the rear.

Mounting screws must be hand-tightened with a torque screwdriver to 1.0 Nm (0.74 lbf-ft) for FM-F65/F77 speaker models. Using power tools to fully tighten the screws may damage the speaker housing.

Use 16 AWG (1.3 to 1.5 mm²) tinned marine-grade speaker cable to connect these speakers to your stereo or amplifier.

The recommended RMS amplifier power for these speakers is 15 to 80 Watts per channel.

The speaker wires are terminated with male spade connectors. For optimal connection, it is recommended to use female spade connectors. The white wire corresponds to the positive (+) (6.3 mm spade size) and the white wire with a black stripe to the negative (-) (4.8 mm spade size).

The warranty may be voided in case of water exposure or damage to the rear of the speaker, failure to protect terminals and connections from grounding or short-circuiting, use of harsh or solvent-based cleaners, or cleaning with high-pressure water.
