Designed for open marine environments, the JL Audio M6-880ETXv3-Sb-S-GmTi marine tower speakers are 8.8-inch (224 mm) sealed coaxial systems. They feature a mineral-filled injection-molded polypropylene woofer with synthetic rubber surround and long-throw design. The 1.25-inch (32 mm) silk dome tweeter is UV and salt-spray resistant, completing a 2-way architecture.
Audio Performance and Marine Durability
These speakers deliver 125 Watts RMS continuous power per speaker, with a nominal impedance of 4 Ohms. The frequency response ranges from 38 Hz to 20 kHz (± 3 dB), and sensitivity is 90.5 dB at 1W/1m. For optimal performance, an amplifier power output of 50 to 250 Watts per channel is recommended. The DMA-Optimized woofer design reduces distortion and improves transient response, while the silk dome tweeters ensure detailed high-frequency reproduction.
Marine robustness is ensured by salt-resistant construction, with UV-resistant polymer baskets and grilles, and marine-grade stainless steel components. These speakers are designed to exceed international standards for salt fog and UV exposure, ensuring longevity at sea.
RGB LED Lighting and Integration
The M6-880ETXv3-Sb-S-GmTi speakers feature patented Transflective™ RGB LED lighting. This technology projects uniform light through the woofer cone, offering fixed color options or thousands of variations via an optional RGB controller (sold separately). A separate 12V LED wiring is required. The LED lighting draws 486 mA at 12V DC and requires a recommended 750 mA fuse, with a voltage range of 10 to 14.4V DC.
The mounting system is designed for wakeboard towers or other tubular structures, with mounting accessories (sold separately) allowing cables to pass through the center for a clean and protected installation. The speaker has a diameter of 224 mm (8.80 inches) and a depth of 376 mm (14.80 inches), with a height of 246 mm (9.67 inches) including the mounting receiver.
