Designed for marine environments and power sports, the JL Audio MM-55 marine stereo source is a compact digital unit. It features a 4-channel amplifier delivering a total power output of 100 watts (25 watts RMS per channel at 4 ohms). Its 2.8-inch (71 mm) high-contrast color LCD screen offers a resolution of 320x240 pixels with Day/Night display modes, adjustable brightness, and customizable themes for optimal readability in all conditions.
Connectivity and Integration
The MM-55 includes an AM/FM/DAB+ tuner with RDS and 18 presets. Integrated Bluetooth® connectivity, compatible with aptX™ audio codec, enables high-fidelity wireless music streaming. A rear USB 2.0 input with a 1-amp output is available for device charging and music file playback. A rear RCA stereo auxiliary input allows connection of analog audio sources. Certified NMEA 2000®, it integrates with compatible marine electronic networks, offering control via multifunction displays (MFD) from brands such as Garmin, Lowrance, Raymarine, or Simrad.
Multi-Zone Audio Management
This stereo source features nine preamplified 4-volt audiophile-grade output channels supporting three distinct audio zones. Each zone has its own volume control, dedicated subwoofer levels, crossover filters (high-pass: off/80/100/120 Hz; low-pass: off/60/80/100 Hz), volume limits, and tone controls. Zones can be managed individually or in groups. The unit is IP67-rated, ensuring water resistance allowing immersion up to 1 meter for 30 minutes. Controls include a rotary knob and large backlit buttons for ease of use in marine environments.
