Designed for demanding marine environments, the JL Audio M6-10IB-L-GwSw-4 marine subwoofer with a 10-inch driver delivers optimized low-frequency reproduction for infinite baffle applications. This speaker is specifically engineered to provide deep, punchy bass with clarity and balance suited for nautical listening conditions.
Design and acoustic performance
The M6-10IB-L-GwSw-4 features a mica-injected polypropylene cone with UV inhibitors, paired with a synthetic rubber surround. Its design is optimized using JL Audio’s Dynamic Motor Analysis (DMA), enabling a linear excursion (Xmax) of 13.2 mm. This optimization enhances output, bass extension, and power handling while minimizing distortion. The subwoofer can handle a continuous power (RMS) of 250 watts with a nominal impedance of 4 ohms. Its sensitivity is 86.1 dB (at 1W/1m), and its free-air resonance frequency (Fs) is 43.76 Hz.
