The JL Audio M6-770ETXv3-Gw-C-GwGw marine tower speakers are designed to deliver clear, powerful sound in demanding marine environments. These 2-way coaxial speakers with 7.7-inch (196 mm) basket diameter are sold in pairs and feature a bright white finish with classic white grilles.
Design and audio performance
Each M6-770ETXv3-Gw-C-GwGw speaker handles a continuous RMS power of 100 watts and a recommended RMS amplifier power of 40 to 200 watts per channel. The nominal system impedance is 4 ohms, with a frequency response of 45 Hz to 25,000 Hz (± 3 dB) and an efficiency of 91 dB at 1 W / 1 m. The woofers feature injection-molded polypropylene cones with mica reinforcement (MIPP) and synthetic rubber surrounds. They incorporate JL Audio’s proprietary Dynamic Motor Analysis (DMA) technology for reduced distortion, improved transient performance, and precise bass. The 1-inch silk dome tweeters deliver detailed high-frequency reproduction and uniform sound dispersion. The advanced 2-way crossover network is integrated into the woofer basket.
Marine construction and installation
These speakers are housed in injection-molded polymer enclosures and grilles treated for UV resistance, designed to withstand UV exposure, moisture, and vibration in marine environments. M6 speakers are manufactured at JL Audio’s Miramar, Florida facility using globally sourced components and materials. Installation requires JL Audio mounting brackets (sold separately), with speaker cables routed through the center of the brackets for discreet and protected integration. Models with integrated RGB LEDs provide vibrant accent lighting, with separate wiring connections for the LEDs. An RGB controller (sold separately) is recommended for adjustable control, though direct wiring for seven different colors is possible. Each M6-770ETXv3 LED speaker consumes 324 mA at 12V DC, with a recommended fuse of 500 mA.
