Designed for open marine environments such as wakeboard towers, the JL Audio M6-770ETXv3-Gw-S-GwGw-i marine tower speakers are 7.7-inch coaxial systems. They are engineered to deliver sound that projects beyond the boat. These speakers integrate technical features and construction suited to marine conditions.
Acoustic design and performance
These 7.7-inch (196 mm) 2-way coaxial speakers offer a continuous power handling (RMS) of 100 Watts. Recommended amplifier power is 40 to 200 Watts per channel, with a nominal impedance of 4 ohms. The system frequency response ranges from 45 Hz to 25 kHz (± 3 dB), and its efficiency is 91.0 dB at 1 W/1 m.
Durability and integrated lighting
The marine construction of these speakers uses materials resistant to corrosion and UV. The enclosure dimensions are approximately 196 mm (7.70 inches) in diameter and 322 mm (12.67 inches) in depth (Sport version). Height, including the mounting receiver, is 222 mm (8.74 inches). The housing is gloss white with a gloss white Sport grille. A patented JL Audio Transflective™ RGB LED lighting system is integrated behind the cone, diffusing accent lighting through the woofer. The LEDs can be wired directly for seven color combinations or connected to an optional RGB lighting controller (sold separately) for adjustable control. These speakers are manufactured at JL Audio’s Miramar, Florida facility from global components.
Installation and integration
The speakers are designed to be mounted using JL Audio ETX mounting hardware (sold separately), allowing for speaker cable installation through the center of the mounts for a clean finish. The LED cables also exit through the center of the mounts. Fast-acting inline fuses are required for the LED power connection (+12V) of each speaker. It is recommended to use a minimum 16 AWG wire for the LED connection circuits of each speaker. LED control can be managed via an existing cabin/interior lighting circuit or a dedicated switch.
