The Lowrance EAGLE 7" 50/200 HDI is a fishfinder and chartplotter combo designed specifically for anglers who demand clarity, performance, and ease of use. Positioned as an accessible and high-performance solution in the Lowrance lineup, it stands out for its versatility and advanced sonar technology, offering a modern alternative to older Hook or Elite series.
Display and Interface
The unit features a 7-inch display with a resolution of 800 x 480 pixels, ensuring clear reading of sonar and navigation data. Its wide viewing angles of 85° (top, bottom, left, and right) provide excellent visibility from any position on the boat. The interface is controlled via buttons, offering reliable operation even in wet conditions.
HDI Sonar Performance
The highlight of this bundle is the 50/200 HDI (Hybrid Dual Imaging) transducer. This technology combines a traditional dual-frequency CHIRP sonar (50/200 kHz), ideal for fish detection and bottom tracking at varying depths, with DownScan Imaging (455/800 kHz) technology, which delivers near-photographic images of submerged structures. This dual capability allows unambiguous identification of fish habitats. The single transducer port is also compatible with SplitShot and TripleShot transducers for lateral scanning options.
Navigation Features and Connectivity
As a chartplotter, the EAGLE 7 integrates a precise GPS receiver and a single microSD card reader, compatible with cards up to 32 GB. It allows creating and managing waypoints, routes, and tracks. Practical features such as quick creation of a MOB (Man OverBoard) waypoint by pressing two buttons are included. This is a standalone device, designed for simple use without requiring integration into a complex NMEA network.
Design and Installation
Built for the marine environment, the housing is IPX7 certified, ensuring protection against temporary immersion. It operates on 12 V DC power with a very low maximum consumption of 6.6 W (550 mA), making it ideal for small vessels where energy efficiency is critical.
