Start with the fishing question: hard or soft bottom, typical depth, need for SideScan, vertical fishing, trolling motor, reading while navigating or slow surveying. Only then validate the screen and transducer. An HDS PRO display without the right transducer can be disappointing; an Eagle properly paired with an appropriate transducer can be far more effective than a more expensive misconfigured setup. For refits, send us the exact screen model, the current transducer, the connector type, and a photo of the installation: this is often the safest way to avoid an incompatible purchase.
