Detailed description
Detailed description
Designed for accurate seabed readings, the Navico 9-Pin 83/200kHz pod-style transducer provides a versatile solution for depth detection. This transducer is suited for navigators and anglers seeking a discreet installation and reliable performance across a variety of fiberglass hulls.
Sonar Specifications
The 9-Pin 83/200kHz transducer operates at 83 kHz and 200 kHz frequencies to deliver depth data. At 83 kHz, it provides a 52° beam angle, while at 200 kHz the beam angle is 22°. This transducer can reach a maximum depth of 300 meters (1000 feet) and supports speeds up to 60 knots (70 mph). It is designed specifically for depth detection and does not support CHIRP technology or side/structure imaging. This model does not include an integrated temperature or speed sensor.
Installation and Compatibility
The pod-style transducer is designed for through-hull installation on fiberglass hulls with a maximum deadrise angle of 10°. It can also be mounted on an electric motor. For optimal performance, it is recommended to install it near the boat’s centerline and avoid areas close to flaps. This model is not compatible with wood hulls for through-hull installation. It connects via a 9-pin connector and is compatible with Simrad, Lowrance, and B&G sounder units, including the SonarHub module and Simrad NSS evo2 and NSS sport multifunction displays.
Technical and Environmental Data
Weighing 0.18 kg (with cable) and featuring a 6.4-meter cable length, this transducer is compact. It operates within a temperature range of 0°C to +50°C and can be stored from -30°C to +70°C. The transducer is supplied with the pod and the required epoxy adhesive for installation.
