Detailed description
Detailed description
The NAVICO 9-pin to 7-pin adapter (part number 000-13977-001) is designed to ensure compatibility between modern transducers and existing marine displays. This adapter allows connection of a CHIRP Airmar XID transducer with a 9-pin black connector to the older blue 7-pin sockets on displays and sounder modules.
Extended compatibility and performance retention
This adapter is compatible with 9-pin xSonic transducers, including CHIRP HDI Low/High or Med/High models, for connection to previous-generation Navico displays. It maintains full transducer capabilities, including CHIRP features, without signal integrity loss. The adapter’s robust design provides resistance to marine environments, including saltwater exposure, vibrations, and temperature variations.
Installation and system integration
The NAVICO 000-13977-001 offers a plug-and-play solution for direct installation, eliminating the need for complex wiring or soldering. It enables users to continue using their CHIRP Airmar transducers with older display units. xSonic transducers, which use 9-pin connectors, include features such as automatic transducer recognition and digital/analog temperature readings; these benefits are preserved with this adapter.
