Detailed description
Detailed description
Designed to optimize the performance of your fishfinder in shallow to medium waters, the XSONIC Airmar TM185HW is a 1 kW CHIRP transducer for transom mounting. This accessory is compatible with Lowrance systems and provides depth and water temperature detection. Its design aims to deliver precise resolution and target separation for coastal and offshore fishing.
High-frequency CHIRP performance
The TM185HW transducer operates on a high-frequency CHIRP band, covering a range from 150 to 250 kHz. This 100 kHz wide bandwidth, combined with 1 kW of power, delivers detailed images of the seafloor and clear fish detection. The constant 25° beam across the frequency range ensures stable coverage. It reaches a maximum depth of 152 meters (500 feet), suitable for shallow to medium water applications.
Robust design and versatile installation
The transducer is housed in a SEALCAST™ urethane housing with a urethane acoustic window, and is secured by a stainless steel bracket, ensuring durability in marine environments. It is compatible with all hull types, including wood, fiberglass, aluminum, and steel. The transom mount is designed to fit transom angles from 3° to 21° and suits outboard or inboard/outboard propulsion systems. The 10-meter (33-foot) cable and Navico 9-pin connector facilitate integration with existing equipment. This model can also be installed on the mounts of TM258, TM260, TM265, and TM275 transducers.
Wide-beam technology for improved detection
The TM185HW’s High-Wide (HW) wide-beam technology provides twice the water column coverage compared to narrow-beam high-frequency transducers. This enables more efficient fish detection in the water column and clearer fish arches. The combination of high frequency and constant wide beam contributes to superior resolution and better target separation, even at higher boat speeds.
