Detailed description
Detailed description
The Raymarine Gen 2 single-pole AC circuit breaker 230 VAC, 40 A with long time delay is designed for protecting alternating current circuits on board. This component integrates into advanced electrical distribution systems, such as the Maretron OctoPlex G2-Series architecture, which enables centralized and digital power management. It provides overcurrent protection with a rated current of 40 amperes and a voltage of 230 VAC, suitable for European marine electrical installations.
Integration and System Features
Within an OctoPlex AC power distribution unit, this Raymarine circuit breaker offers AC circuit protection, remote tripping and reset, and status monitoring capabilities. The OctoPlex system, NMEA 2000® certified, uses a CAN bus network for enhanced reliability and safety through a redundant architecture. The circuit breakers are field-replaceable and can be controlled remotely via the NMEA 2000 network, eliminating the need for large traditional electrical panels and reducing wiring complexity.
Monitoring and Compatibility
The Maretron OctoPlex G2-Series system, for which this circuit breaker is designed, allows full monitoring and control of the vessel’s AC and DC loads. The Maretron OctoPlex G2-Series system enables monitoring of voltage, current, and frequency for AC lines, and provides configurable alarm thresholds for voltage, current, and temperature for the battery monitor, displayed via a multifunction display (MFD). The system’s flexibility allows monitoring and control of other NMEA 2000 marine devices. Integration is possible with NMEA 2000-compatible multifunction displays (MFD), providing a configurable and customizable user interface to access system functions, status reports, and alarms.
