Detailed description
Detailed description
The Raymarine A80593 interface cable is a dedicated component for Raymarine AIS Class A transponders AIS4000 and AIS5000. It is designed to ensure the essential connectivity of these Automatic Identification System (AIS) units with onboard navigation equipment. This pack of two cables is specifically tailored for integrating Raymarine AIS transponders, including the AIS4000, which is a SOLAS-certified (Safety of Life at Sea) solution for commercial vessels and inland waterways.
AIS4000 transponder: Features
The AIS4000 transponder, compatible with these cables, is designed for commercial ships, luxury yachts, and offshore vessels. It features a 5-inch high-definition color display (800 x 480 pixels) for chart plotting, alarms, and target tracking. The system supports optional C-MAP ENC charting and offers advanced features such as man-overboard (MOB/PLB) alert and tracking, as well as CPA/TCPA (Closest Point of Approach/Time to CPA) data and alarms.
AIS system connectivity and robustness
The AIS4000 is equipped with extensive connectivity, including built-in Wi-Fi, NMEA 2000, and three bidirectional NMEA 0183 (IEC61162-2) ports. It also features a DGPS correction data input (ITU-R M.823-2) and an alarm relay output. The transponder is built to withstand harsh marine conditions, with IPx6 and IPx7 waterproof ratings and compliance with the highest industrial standards for shock and vibration resistance. The A80593 interface cables play a role in maintaining this robustness and connection reliability for Raymarine AIS 4000 and 5000 systems.
