Detailed description
Detailed description
Designed for modern navigation, the Raymarine Quantum Q24D Doppler radar antenna (reference T70549) integrates CHIRP pulse-compression technology and Doppler target processing. This radar solution provides precise echo detection and instant identification of moving targets, differentiating threats by color code for improved situational awareness.
Doppler and CHIRP technology
The Quantum Q24D differs from traditional magnetron radars with its CHIRP pulse-compression technology, which ensures high image resolution at short and long ranges with reduced power consumption. The integration of Doppler enables real-time analysis of target movements: approaching echoes are displayed in red, while receding ones appear in green. This feature enhances safety at sea, particularly in high-traffic areas or reduced visibility. Compared to the first generation of Quantum radars, the Q24D adds this essential Doppler layer, providing significant added value for rapid decision-making.
Installation and connectivity
The Quantum Q24D is designed for flexible installation, allowing simplified connection via Wi-Fi to a compatible Raymarine multifunction display, or via a RayNet wired connection for full network integration. This dual option facilitates integration on different types of vessels, from sailboats to powerboats. The radome comes with a 10-meter power and data cable, simplifying the installation process. Regular software updates are available on the Raymarine website to ensure optimal performance and access to the latest features.
