Designed for advanced marine navigation, the Simrad NSO evo3S MFD 19" multifunction display features a Full HD interface for optimal visibility. With its six-core iMX 8 processor, this display delivers responsiveness for demanding applications such as StructureScan® 3D imaging. Its 19-inch screen offers a resolution of 1920x1080 pixels and a brightness of 1200 nits, ensuring clear readability even in direct sunlight and with polarized sunglasses, thanks to viewing angles of 80° in all directions.
Connectivity and System Integration
The NSO evo3S MFD 19" integrates extensive connectivity options for complete onboard system integration. It features 3 x 100 Mbit/s Ethernet ports (RJ 45), 2 x NMEA 0183 ports, 2 x NMEA 0183-HS ports, and 1 x NMEA 2000® Micro-C port. Wireless connectivity is provided by integrated Wi-Fi 802.11b/g/n. For video, there are two composite inputs (BNC), one HDMI input (1080p, HDCP 1.4), and one HDMI output (1080p, no HDCP). It also includes a J1939 interface for engine data, USB ports for peripherals, and a MicroSD card reader. The unit has 16 GB of internal storage.
Advanced Features and Ergonomics
This multifunction display enables intuitive multi-touch control of the entire Simrad system, simplifying chart navigation, waypoint setting, and management of connected equipment such as autopilot, radar, and fishfinder. Its low-profile "glass helm" design integrates seamlessly into modern helm stations. It offers split-screen display options, allowing up to six panels to be combined. The Simrad NSO evo3S MFD 19" supports 6,000 waypoints, 500 routes with a maximum of 100 waypoints per route, and 50 tracks with up to 12,000 track points. It is compatible with various autopilot modes (Auto, Nav., No Drift, Follow up, Non-follow up, Turn patterns, Standby, Wind, Wind NAV) and allows software updates via Wi-Fi. Optional keypads (such as the OP50) can be added for classic control. The unit weighs 4.8 kg (10.5 lbs) and measures 47.8 cm x 30.5 cm x 8.3 cm. It offers IPX6 protection on the front for flush-mount installations. It operates on 10-32V DC with a maximum power consumption of 50W ± 4W and a recommended fuse of 7A @ 12V DC. Its operating temperature range is -15° C to 55° C.
