Designed for modern navigation, the Simrad NSX 3009 is an intelligent chartplotter and fishfinder, featuring a 9-inch SolarMAX™ IPS HD display. The unit delivers a resolution of 1280 x 720 pixels and a brightness exceeding 1200 nits, ensuring optimal visibility even in full sunlight. Its 85° viewing angles in all directions and compatibility with polarized lenses enhance the user experience.
Advanced Navigation and Charting
The Simrad NSX 3009 integrates a 32-channel GPS receiver with a 10 Hz refresh rate, supporting WASS, MSAS, EGNOS, and GLONASS corrections for 3-meter horizontal accuracy. It is optimized for C-MAP® DISCOVER™ X and REVEAL™ X marine charts, offering intuitive presentation and daily updates. Compatibility with CMOR MAPPING X charts and other third-party options expands route planning possibilities. The Autorouting function is also available for quick planning.
Sonar Capabilities and System Integration
Although supplied without a transducer, the NSX 3009 supports advanced sonar technologies. It is compatible with Active Imaging™ (CHIRP, SideScan, DownScan Imaging™) and can handle transducers up to 1 kW for deep exploration. The FishReveal™ technology aids in fish identification. The unit fully integrates with Simrad systems, including sonars, autopilots, and HALO® radars. It also offers extensive third-party integration with Mercury® engines (SmartCraft® Connect, VesselView®), OmniSense cameras, Dometic air conditioning, and Lumishore LED lighting.
User Interface and Connectivity
The Simrad NSX 3009 runs on a modern operating system with drag-and-drop customization and an editable instrument bar configurable in day and night modes. A setup assistant guides the user through initial installation and sonar configuration. In terms of connectivity, the NSX 3009 features a Micro-C NMEA 2000 port, a 5-pin Ethernet port, IEEE 802.11b/g/n Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 4.0 (with Classic support), a MicroSD slot, and a USB port for external drives. It also supports IP cameras. Powered by 12 V DC (10-17 V DC min-max), the unit has a maximum consumption of 18.8 W and requires a 3A fuse. It weighs 1.2 kg and holds IPX6 and IPX7 waterproof ratings, operating within a temperature range of -15°C to +55°C.
