Detailed description
Detailed description
The BEP 5-way 400 A busbar (reference 779-LBJ-5-B) is designed to interconnect up to five adjacent DC products, such as fuse holders, in marine installations and recreational vehicles. It is specifically integrated into the BEP Pro Installer system, providing an optimized wiring solution and significant space savings.
Design and Electrical Performance
Made from high-purity tinned copper, this busbar ensures maximum conductivity and enhanced corrosion resistance, essential properties in a marine environment. It supports a continuous current of 400 amperes across all five positions. In a configuration where two adjacent positions are linked, the continuous current capacity can reach 650 amperes, allowing for handling higher electrical loads. This wiring flexibility enables the current capacity to be adjusted between 400 and 650 amperes based on the specific requirements of the installation.
Integration and Technical Specifications
Designed for 3/8-inch studs, the busbar has a 2-inch hole spacing. Its overall dimensions are 8.8 inches by 1 inch, promoting compact installations. While optimized for the BEP Pro Installer system, it can also be used as a high-current busbar in various applications. This busbar stands out from conventional wiring solutions by consolidating connections and simplifying the layout of electrical components, such as Pro Installer fuse holders, thereby reducing clutter compared to individual wiring for each component.
