Detailed description
Detailed description
Designed for high-performance marine networks, the Garmin BlueNet™ network cable (152 m/500 ft) is a bulk cabling solution for large vessels. Successor to Garmin Marine Network technology, this bulk cable enables custom network connections tailored to specific installation requirements.
High-speed data transmission and marine robustness
This cable features four twisted pairs, combining data transmission and Wake on LAN (WoL) functionality for power delivery. It supports network connection speeds up to 1 Gigabit per second (Gbps), enabling management of video streams, high resolutions, and advanced sensors. Its design includes a salt- and UV-resistant outer jacket, ensuring durability for permanent installation in marine environments.
Optimized connectivity and installation
The Garmin BlueNet™ network cable uses compact, water-resistant marine connectors, distinct from standard RJ45 connectors. It provides advanced protection against electromagnetic interference. For installation, this bulk cable is flexible for routing in tight conduits. It is important to note that a single cable run must not exceed 87 meters (285 feet), even when using a coupler. BlueNet technology is designed for minimal configuration, simplifying network deployment.
Extended compatibility
This cable is compatible with the new generation of high-speed Garmin marine devices. It also allows integration of third-party devices, such as IP cameras, without requiring a Garmin Marine Network isolation PoE coupler. For existing Garmin Marine Network devices, compatibility is ensured via a Garmin BlueNet 30 gateway.
