Detailed description
Detailed description
Designed to simplify the addition of electrical circuits, the BLUE SEA 5024-BSS ST Blade fuse block kit for battery terminal mounting allows you to easily integrate up to four protected circuits directly on a battery terminal. This compact and efficient solution is intended to power new accessories on your boat or vehicle without requiring complex modifications to existing wiring.
Integration and Protection
The fuse block mounts directly onto the battery terminal stud, with compatibility for 3/8" (M10) studs. It features #8-32 screw terminals with captive washers for secure wire connections. The 5024-BSS kit differs from the 5023 model (block only) by including four insulated nylon ring terminals for 16-14 AWG wires and four for 12-10 AWG wires, as well as four writable labels to identify the circuits. Protection is provided by an insulating cover compliant with ABYC/USCG requirements, and the system is ignition protected per ISO 8846 and SAE J1171 standards, making it suitable for gasoline engine compartments.
Technical Specifications and Compatibility
This block supports a maximum voltage of 32V DC and a maximum current of 100A for the entire block, with a maximum of 30A per circuit. It is compatible with ATO or ATC type fuses (sold separately). The internal bus is made of tinned copper C11000, ensuring optimal conductivity and corrosion resistance. For larger or more complex electrical distribution needs, BLUE SEA offers alternative solutions such as the 2340 busbar range, while the 5024-BSS remains a dedicated option for simple and secure extension of auxiliary circuits from the main battery.
