RD33 — Organizer, 4.3" high-resolution color LCD data repeater — 700cd/m² readability

The FURUNO RD33 is a marine data repeater and organizer featuring a 4.3-inch color LCD screen. Designed to display essential navigation data with optimized readability, it includes a brightness of 700 cd/m² and a resolution of 480 x 272 pixels (WQVGA), ensuring clear visibility even in bright sunlight. This versatile device allows you to organize and view data from various onboard equipment such as GPS, chartplotter, radar, fishfinder, autopilot, instruments, and engine information.

Connectivity and System Integration

The FURUNO RD33 offers extensive connectivity via NMEA 0183, NMEA 2000, and CAN bus interfaces. It includes two NMEA 2000 ports for input and output, supporting daisy-chaining, and one NMEA 0183 port for input and output. Its internal conversion capability between NMEA 0183 and CAN bus formats facilitates integration into existing marine networks, enabling seamless communication between devices. The RD33 is compatible with Furuno’s NavNet 3D and TZtouch systems, providing smooth integration.

Display and Advanced Features

This repeater offers customizable display options, ranging from full-screen to a six-panel split view, allowing users to prioritize information as needed. It includes various display modes such as Speedometer, Highway, Text, Graph, Alphanumeric, Numeric, and Analog. Up to seven custom display configurations can be saved in memory for quick access. The RD33 also provides simultaneous monitoring of alarms for a wide range of data, including water temperature, depth, speed, arrival, anchor watch, cross-track error (XTE), course, odometer, timers, roll and pitch, wind speed and direction, and battery status.

Durability and Technical Specifications

With IP56 protection, the FURUNO RD33 is built to withstand marine environments, offering resistance to dust and high-pressure water jets. It operates on 12–24 VDC with power consumption of 0.2–0.1 A (0.26 A on CAN bus at 15 VDC). It supports ambient temperatures from -15°C to +55°C and relative humidity of 93% at 40°C. Its dimensions are approximately 17.3 cm x 14.5 cm x 7.4 cm. Weight ranges from 0.7 kg for bracket mounting to 0.59 kg for flush mounting.
