Detailed description
Detailed description
Specifically designed for the Furuno DFF3D multibeam sonar system, the FURUNO SS54 through-hull compact stainless steel depth sounder provides detailed and stabilized underwater visualization. This depth sounder operates at a frequency of 165 kHz, delivering a 120° side beam for extended underwater coverage and a 10° longitudinal beam for targeted detection.
Advanced Detection Technology
The FURUNO SS54 integrates temperature and motion sensors, essential for data accuracy. The motion sensor compensates for the boat’s pitch and roll, ensuring clear and stable sonar imagery even in rough sea conditions. The DFF3D system, to which the SS54 depth sounder is connected, offers display modes such as '3D Sounder History' and 'Triple/Single Beam Sounder' for target tracking and seabed analysis. The depth sounder can operate down to a depth of 300 meters, with a power output of 1000 Watts.
Construction and Installation
Manufactured in 316 stainless steel, the SS54 depth sounder is designed to withstand harsh marine environments. Its compact design simplifies installation. It can be mounted as a through-hull depth sounder with a fairing (shoe included) to minimize drag and optimize performance at high speeds, or flush-mounted in the keel without the fairing for a more discreet installation. It is supplied with two 10-meter cables: a bare cable for connection to the DFF3D sonar and a 7-pin cable for the motion sensor.
System Compatibility
The FURUNO SS54 depth sounder is specifically developed for the Furuno DFF3D sounder module. It is compatible with the NavNet TZtouch 3, NavNet TZtouch 2, and NavNet TZtouch multifunction displays, as well as PC systems equipped with the TZ professional software running on Windows OS.
