Detailed description
Detailed description
The Garmin AIRMAR B175H through-hull transducer with 12° tilt is designed for fiberglass and wood hulls, providing precise detection capabilities for navigation and fishing. This high-frequency CHIRP transducer integrates a tilted element to compensate for hull angle, ensuring a horizontal beam orientation without requiring an external fairing block.
High-Frequency CHIRP Performance
With a power output of 1 kW, the Garmin AIRMAR B175H operates on a CHIRP frequency range of 130 to 210 kHz. This high-frequency range, combined with a beam width of 9 to 15 degrees, enables improved target separation and fish identification near underwater structures. It can reach a maximum depth of 365 meters (1,200 feet) and provides depth and water temperature data. Airmar’s Xducer ID® technology is also integrated.
Design and Installation
The Garmin AIRMAR B175H transducer features a bronze housing and is designed for flush through-hull installation, protruding less than 6.35 mm (1/4 inch) from the hull. This design allows compatibility with trailers without risk of damage. The fixed 12° tilt of the element suits hull deadrise angles from 8° to 15°. Installation requires a 95 mm (3-3/4 inch) hole and the transducer weighs 2.7 kg. It is equipped with an 8-pin Garmin connector and a 12-meter (39-foot) cable.
