Detailed description
Detailed description
Designed for inshore and offshore fishing, the through-hull Garmin AIRMAR B175HW with 0° tilt is a 1 kW CHIRP transducer. It provides fast-response depth and water temperature detection, optimized for fiberglass and wooden hulls.
Wide-beam CHIRP performance
The B175HW operates across a high-frequency range of 150 to 250 kHz, delivering a total bandwidth of 100 kHz. Its fixed 25° wide beam provides extended coverage, doubling fish detection in the upper water column compared to traditional narrow-beam transducers. This feature is suited for detailed resolution and improved target separation up to a maximum depth of 152 meters (500 feet) in ideal conditions.
Design and installation
This transducer uses a through-hull design with a low-profile, tilted element. Its bronze housing is flush with the hull, protruding less than 6 mm (1/4 inch), allowing use on trailerable boats without risk of damage. The 0° tilted element is designed for hull angles from 0° to 7°, eliminating the need for a fairing block for optimal horizontal alignment of the ceramic element. It features an 8-pin Garmin connector and includes Xducer ID® technology for simplified configuration. Installation requires a 95 mm (3-3/4 inch) hole. A 11.8-meter (39-foot) cable is provided for connection.
