Detailed description
Detailed description
The Garmin AIRMAR B175HW through-hull transducer with a 20° tilt is designed to optimize fish detection on fiberglass and wooden hulls. This 1 kW CHIRP wide-high fishfinder delivers detailed performance for shallow-water fishing and target separation.
CHIRP Wide-High Technology and Constant Beam
Operating on a CHIRP frequency range of 150 to 250 kHz, the Garmin AIRMAR B175HW provides precise sonar images and improved fish discrimination. Its 25° constant beam ensures broad water column coverage, effective for detecting fish in the upper water column and producing clear arches on the display. Maximum detection depth reaches 152 meters (500 feet).
Optimized Design for Installation
This transducer features a 20° tilted element integrated into a bronze housing, compensating for hull deadrise angles between 16° and 24°. This design allows for a near-flush installation, eliminating the need for a fairing block and minimizing drag. The low-profile housing protrudes less than 6 mm (1/4 inch) from the hull, making it trailer-compatible. Installation requires a 95 mm (3-3/4 inch) hole.
Integration and Durability
The Garmin AIRMAR B175HW includes a fast-response water temperature sensor. It features an 8-pin Garmin connector for direct integration with compatible Garmin systems. Its Xducer ID® technology simplifies setup. The bronze housing is designed to withstand marine environments. The transducer cable measures 9 meters (29.5 feet). The transducer weighs approximately 2.7 kg. This model is recommended for boats up to 11 meters (36 feet).
