Detailed description
Detailed description
The GARMIN AIRMAR® B175L through-hull transducer with a 12° tilt is designed for accurate depth and water temperature detection. Ideal for small boats, including center consoles, it features a bronze housing suitable for fiberglass and wooden hulls.
CHIRP Performance for Deep Water
This transducer is compatible with CHIRP sounder systems, delivering 1 kW (1000 Watts) of power. It operates within a low-frequency CHIRP range of 40 to 60 kHz, with a total bandwidth up to 20 kHz. This configuration ensures optimal performance in deep water, with detection capability down to 762 meters (2500 feet). The beam angle ranges from 32° to 21°.
Simplified Design and Installation
The AIRMAR® B175L incorporates Tilted Element™ technology, where the ceramic element is mounted at a 12° angle inside the housing. This design compensates for keel angles between 8° and 15°, directing the beam straight down for precise echo returns and depth readings, eliminating the need for a fairing block. Its low-profile housing protrudes less than 1/4 inch from the hull, making trailer storage easier. It features an 8-pin connector for Garmin devices and a 12-meter (39-foot) cable. The required installation hole is approximately 95 mm (3-3/4 inches), and the shaft length is 71 mm (2.80 inches).
Reliability and Integration
Weighing 2.7 kg (6 lbs), the transducer has a durable bronze housing and a urethane acoustic window for reliable marine operation. The patented Xducer ID® technology ensures correct identification and seamless integration with your marine electronics system. It is designed for vessels up to 11 meters (36 feet) in length.
