Detailed description
Detailed description
Designed for navigation and fishing, the Garmin Airmar B175M thru-hull transducer with 0° tilt is a 1 kW CHIRP transducer. It operates in the mid-frequency range (85-135 kHz), providing precise target resolution and seafloor detail in depths up to 457 metres (1,500 feet).
CHIRP technology and performance
This transducer uses CHIRP technology for improved target separation and seafloor detection, even in shallow to moderately deep waters. Its 85-135 kHz frequency range ensures a balance between wide coverage and deep range. The beam width ranges from 11° to 16°, suitable for versatile readings.
Design and installation
The Airmar B175M features a bronze housing and a 0° tilted element, designed to correct the deadrise angle of hulls from 0° to 7° without requiring a fairing block. Its flush-mount design minimizes protrusion to less than 0.6 cm (1/4 inch) below the hull, allowing safe trailer storage. This transducer is compatible with fiberglass and wooden hulls. It integrates fast-response depth and water temperature sensors. It connects via an 8-pin connector and includes a 11.8-metre (39-foot) cable.
