Detailed description
Detailed description
The Garmin AIRMAR B75M (0° tilt) through-hull transducer is designed for depth and water temperature detection, featuring CHIRP technology for detailed underwater imaging. This bronze transducer is suitable for fiberglass or wooden hulls and is specifically designed with a fixed 0° tilt to compensate for hull angles ranging from 0° to 7°.
Performance and CHIRP Technology
With a power output of 600 W, the AIRMAR B75M operates on a mid-range CHIRP frequency band from 80 kHz to 130 kHz, offering a total bandwidth of up to 50 kHz. This configuration provides increased resolution and detail, aiding in the distinction between baitfish, gamefish, and underwater structures. The maximum detection depth reaches up to 274 meters (900 feet), with a beam angle ranging from 24° to 16°.
Design and Integration
The transducer features an internal broadband ceramic element and a urethane acoustic window. Its bronze housing is designed to be discreet once installed, allowing for good display resolution even at high speeds. The patented Xducer ID® technology is integrated for automatic transducer identification by compatible systems. The optimized mid-frequency performance delivers strong shallow-water performance, detailed bottom imaging, and better deep-penetration compared to high-frequency bands. The required hole diameter for installation is 70 mm (2-13/16 inches). Weighing approximately 1.4 kg, this transducer is recommended for boats up to 8 meters (25-26 feet) in length. Cable length typically ranges from 10 to 12 meters, with an 8-pin Garmin connector. A Mix and Match™ version is also available.
