Detailed description
Detailed description
The Garmin BlueNet™ marine network cable 1.8 m (010-12528-30) is a critical component of Garmin’s next-generation marine network technology. Designed as a successor to the Garmin Marine Network, it incorporates technical advancements for improved connectivity and simplified integration of onboard systems.
Advanced network connectivity
This 1.8-meter cable features four twisted pairs optimized for data transmission and Wake on LAN (WoL) functionality. It supports network connection speeds up to 1 Gigabit per second (Gbps), providing increased bandwidth for managing multiple video streams, high resolutions, and support for sophisticated sensors and devices.
Design and compatibility
The compact, water-resistant marine connectors are similar in size to NMEA 2000® connectors, simplifying routing and installation in marine environments. The BlueNet™ system uses standard network protocols, minimizing configuration requirements. This Garmin BlueNet™ cable connects BlueNet™ 20 switches, BlueNet™ 30 gateways, and other compatible devices. It is also compatible with third-party devices such as IP cameras without requiring a Garmin Marine Network PoE isolation coupler. Compatibility with older Garmin Marine Network devices is possible via a Garmin BlueNet™ 30 gateway.
