Detailed description
Detailed description
Designed for demanding anglers and sailors, the Garmin GT34UHD-TM (part number 010-12776-00) is a rear-mount transducer offering Ultra High-Definition ClearVü and SideVü sonar imaging capabilities. This model provides detailed and clear views of underwater structures and fish, enhancing fishing and navigation experiences on compatible Garmin displays.
Advanced Sonar Performance
The GT34UHD-TM integrates optimized sonar frequencies for superior image clarity. For ClearVü mode, it operates at 800 kHz (CHIRP range 760–880 kHz), achieving a maximum depth of 200 feet. SideVü mode uses a frequency of 1200 kHz (CHIRP range 1060–1170 kHz), with a lateral range of 125 feet on each side (250 feet total) and a maximum depth of 30 feet for that range. With a 500-watt RMS power output, this transducer ensures reliable detection and improved target separation thanks to CHIRP technology. The beams are finely defined, with a 0.76° x 46° angle for ClearVü and 0.44° x 55° for SideVü, guaranteeing precise coverage.
Integration and Installation
This transducer comes with a 20-foot cable and a 12-pin connector, ensuring direct connection to compatible Garmin ECHOMAP™ Ultra chartplotters and GPSMAP® units, or via the GCV™ 20 sonar module for other displays. The mounting design allows versatile installation on the transom or an electric motor, supporting transom angles from 0° to 70°. It transmits not only imaging data but also depth and water temperature. Its operating temperature range is 0°C to 50°C. Compared to traditional 2D sonar that focuses on vertical fish detection, or LiveScope systems that provide real-time views, the GT34UHD-TM positions itself as a high-resolution scanning imaging solution, ideal for rapid exploration of fishing areas and precise identification of underwater structures, offering a balance between performance and cost within Garmin’s lineup.
