Designed as a replacement or backup power source, the Garmin high-capacity lithium-ion battery (part number 010-12881-11) provides extended runtime for compatible Garmin handheld devices. This battery is specifically intended for Garmin Montana 700, 700i, 710, 710i, 750i and 760i models, ensuring optimal integration and performance.
Extended runtime and technical specifications
With a voltage of 14.4V and a capacity of 16.5 Ah, this lithium-ion battery delivers significant operating durations. In GPS mode, it allows for up to 24 hours of use, including sending text/location every 10 minutes. For extended use, expedition mode offers up to 440 hours of runtime, or 400 hours with text/location transmission every 30 minutes. In power-off mode, the battery retains its charge for up to 1 year.

The Garmin lithium-ion battery operates within a discharge temperature range of -20°C to 60°C (-4°F to 140°F). Its charging temperature range is 10°C to 45°C (50°F to 113°F). For long-term storage, a temperature of 10°C to 20°C (50°F to 68°F) is recommended. Weighing 3.35 lbs (approximately 1.52 kg), it is designed for demanding applications. Its nominal power is limited to 20 Wh per cell and 100 Wh per battery or battery pack.
