Designed specifically for the Lumishore LUX marine lighting ecosystem, the Garmin LUX SL driver (010-04438-00) is an essential regulation module for LED light strips and flexible neon lights. It provides stable and reliable power, crucial for the longevity and performance of onboard LED lighting systems.
Voltage stability and compatibility
This driver includes a voltage stabilizer that supports a wide input range of 10.5 to 31 volts DC, making it compatible with 12V and 24V onboard electrical systems. It delivers a stabilized 24-volt output, protecting the lighting from common voltage fluctuations in marine environments. Unlike generic drivers, the LUX SL Driver is optimized for Lumishore LUX lighting products only, ensuring optimal integration and performance while maintaining warranty validity. It can power up to 10 meters of LED strip (two 5-meter maximum outputs), with a maximum power output of 68 watts. Typical consumption is 5.6A at 12V and 2.8A at 24V, requiring a 7.5A fuse for 12V installations and a 4A fuse for 24V.
Control and integration options
The LUX SL driver offers flexible control options. It can operate autonomously with momentary switches for on/off control, dimming, and color selection (cool white, neutral white, warm white, or RGB depending on the model). For advanced management, it integrates with the Lumishore EOS-LUX control center. This integration enables full control of CRGBW colors (cool white, red, green, blue, warm white), white temperature adjustment (from 2700 K to 6500 K), and advanced lighting effects via compatible multifunction displays (MFD), dedicated Lumishore screens, or smart devices. Each LUX module can also be controlled locally using switches mounted in the dashboard, providing independent control when needed.
Robust design for marine environments
With its fully encapsulated and sealed (potted) construction, the LUX SL driver has an IP68 rating, providing high protection against dust and water immersion. This makes it suitable for harsh marine conditions. The electrical installation is plug-and-play, though mounting on a flat, cool, dry, and well-ventilated surface is recommended to optimize performance and lifespan. The product is covered by a three-year warranty.
