Detailed description
Detailed description
The Garmin LUX SNL180 LED strip is a 1500 mm flexible marine lighting solution designed to provide uniform, shadow-free illumination. Part of Garmin’s Lumishore LUX series, it features a full CRGBW color spectrum (cool white, red, green, blue, warm white) and tunable white from 2700 K to 6500 K in a single fixture. With a density of 180 LEDs per meter, the SNL180 is suitable for various ambient and functional lighting applications on boats.
Design and Technical Specifications
The LUX SNL180 features a "bend-flex" design that conforms to curved surfaces, making it ideal for toe rails, cabin liners, or T-tops. Its fully encapsulated and potted construction, combined with a dedicated diffuser, ensures a dot-free light output. Rated IP67, it is suitable for interior and exterior installations above the waterline and is UV- and salt-fog resistant. The SNL180 measures 21 mm in depth and 14.15 mm in height. It is supplied in pre-fabricated, factory-sealed lengths to maintain IP67 compliance and must not be cut. The minimum bend radius is 120 mm.
Integration and Installation
The Garmin LUX SNL180 operates exclusively with Lumishore LUX Strip Light driver modules and does not support third-party drivers to maintain warranty validity. It can be powered within a voltage range of 10.5 to 31 VDC via the LUX control module, with a maximum current draw of 0.6 A/m at 12 V and 0.36 A/m at 24 V, for an average power consumption of 8.7 W/m. Installation is simplified with supplied stainless steel mounting clips that screw into place and allow the strip to be securely snapped in. Control can be via a momentary switch (requires the driver) or integrated into compatible multifunction displays (MFD), Lumishore displays, or smart devices via the EOS-LUX control center.
