Designed for navigation along the Norwegian coast, the Garmin Norway marine charts, from Sognefjord to Svefjorden, provide detailed coverage of the region. This product integrates Garmin and Navionics cartographic data for comprehensive and precise nautical information. Delivered on a microSD/SD card, it is compatible with Garmin chartplotters.
Optimized navigation and chart details
These charts feature Auto Guidance+ technology, combining Garmin and Navionics automatic routing. This function calculates a suggested path from dock to dock, taking into account desired depth, air draft, and obstructions. 1' (or 1 meter) contours provide an accurate representation of the seabed structure, improving fishfinder readability and detail in areas such as marshes, canals, ports, and marinas. Depth shading allows up to 10 color options to highlight target depths, while shallow water shading defines a depth to visually signal areas to avoid.
Advanced visualization and imagery
High-resolution bathymetric shading combines colors and shadows to facilitate interpretation of the seabed profile, helping to locate underwater structures. This feature is available as a free download via the ActiveCaptain app. High-resolution satellite imagery, overlaid on navigation charts, provides a realistic view of surroundings, useful for entering unfamiliar ports. Clear aerial photographs of ports, marinas, bridges, docks, slipways, dams, and navigation marks are also included, enhancing situational awareness. For greater immersion, 3D FishEye and MarinerEye views are available: FishEye offers an underwater perspective of the seabed and contours, integrable with fishfinder data, and MarinerEye presents a 3D representation of the surrounding area, above and below the waterline.
Updates and ActiveCaptain community
A one-year subscription is included, providing access to daily chart updates via the ActiveCaptain app. Thousands of updates are performed regularly to maintain data accuracy. The ActiveCaptain community also allows access to shared content, including points of interest (POI) such as marinas, anchorages, hazards, and businesses, with recommendations from other boaters.
